This is a portal for online teaching and learning (online training) to connect educators, teachers, teachers, educational administrators with learners, parents. Unlimited, wide-ranging students are aiming to become the NO.1 ONLINE SCHOOL IN VIETNAM.
PROJECT’S CONTENT

  1. SURVEY OF THE PROJECT STATUS AND FABILITY

EDUTECH – A PRODUCT OF CREATIVE INTELLECTUAL INTELLIGENCE, RESPONSE TO THE TIME OF ONLINE TEACHING AND LEARNING IN THE COUNTRY IN THE CURRENT AND FUTURE STAGE

From the immemorial time to the late 20th century, teaching and learning in Vietnam and other countries follow direct interaction between teachers and students (offline). It is a long-standing traditional method of education and training, playing a significant role in transferring knowledge, forming personality, professional skills of the students and many other aspects of society, from generation to generation. That method has made significant contributions to each nation’s development and the whole of humanity.

However, the advent of the Internet, the explosion of information technology, and modern tools of connecting things (IoT) have created a very new teaching and learning model: the online teaching model (Online). Due to its superiority, online teaching and learning methods are strongly developed, becoming an inevitable trend in the 4.0 technology era.

Please take some examples:

In Korea, Hanyang University in the whole system has about 30,000 students, but the online teaching system alone accounts for more than 25,000 students, five times more than offline learning ones. Here, they apply Hologram technology; a faculty can interact with up to 500 to 600 students at a time.

This technology allows teachers to stand in a studio with a camera system that records images at different angles, then transmits directly to the lecture halls where students are watching. This technology will display 3D pictures of trainers in the lecture halls with a 1: 1 aspect ratio.

Both teachers and students can see each other and interact authentically. With this style of presenting, teachers can see students’ attitudes and adjust the lecture style accordingly. Preaching can apply to many lecture halls at the same time. However, to ensure the interaction between faculty and students, the university is promoting artificial intelligence technology.

In the US, 40% of universities’ training programs and more than 30% of high schools’ curriculum are online. The world’s largest university Arizona State University currently has 130,000 students; 40,000 students study online.

At present, there is always a brand for online training that teaches programs in mathematics, information technology, and “sensitive” disciplines such as medicine, learning online, and using virtual reality technology. All the graduates of that course graduate with a diploma, and their degrees are equivalent to that of students who study offline.

In Vietnam, recently, due to the impact of the covid-19 pandemic, students nationwide had to miss school for a relatively long time; Therefore, many schools have quickly organized the fixed-hour online teaching model for their students. However, the model of teaching and learning online for many people is still relatively new and new.

In that context, the timely emergence of Edutech products created by the Southeast Asian Institute of Finance, Investment and Cooperation and Trade (SEAFIT) based on the 4.0 Industrial Revolution is considered. A valuable contribution to the healthy development of the online teaching and learning model, practically contributing to the modernization of the Education and Training sector of our country.

So what is Edutech?

Edutech is a breakthrough science project applying technology in education, created by the Institute of Finance, Investment and Cooperation, and Southeast Asia Trade, using the 4.0 Industrial Revolution’s latest achievements. Edutech integrates technology solutions to connect online a team of excellent teachers, lecturers, and experts in many fields to meet the needs of many different audiences with a large number of students and community. Thereby provides thousands of courses and hundreds of thousands of lectures for people in need, regardless of location, time, and space.

Although it does not meet all the learners’ requirements, Edutech has brought a macro-strategic level and rich and practical content, high-quality lectures, and timely launch. As a result, although it is only in its infancy, Edutech has been enthusiastically received in many localities, provinces, cities nationwide. Why Edutech was quickly welcomed by the community as a new wind in education because:

The Edutech, educational technology project, has been appraised by the Science Council of the Institute; based on the Science Council’s objective and feasibility assessment, the Institute has decided to approve and implement project No. 80 / QD. -VĐNA on November 1, 2018. At the same time, the product was granted the Copyright Registration Certificate by the Copyright Office of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2019 and the Intellectual Property Department of the Ministry of Science and Technology.

Second: Edutech educational technology project has a solid scientific base

Edutech is a strategic project with profound humanity and real educational value, created by dedicated and highly qualified scientists.

Shortly, when artificial intelligence (AI) technology develops suddenly in our country, and many teachers use it in distance teaching, Edutech products will be more and more perfect online.

During the IT boom and especially the emergence of the 4.0 Industrial Revolution, education, innovation, and human resource training, quality improvement has become more urgent, both the cause and the driving force motivating scientists to make a breakthrough in education training. Edutech educational technology project was born when it met the necessary conditions of a project in the information technology boom.

First of all, we affirm that this is an intellectual product of a science and technology project conceived for many years when directly engaged in teaching and participating in training management. Director Nguyen Dung Thuong is both an author and a director of the Edutech project.

Fourth: Edutech educational technology project has a long-term and sustainable development strategy.

Leaders of the Institute for Financial Research, Investment and Cooperation, and Trade in Southeast Asia have planned the Institute’s rapid and sustainable development strategy in stages, based on 4.0 technology in all fields. Area of ​​operation. Significantly, the Edutech educational technology project can be divided into 3 phases of development as follows:

1 / Inception phase (2019 – 2020): Focus on educational technology products according to teaching and learning fundamental subjects to promptly meet education and training requirements, including Literature – Math- English.

2 / The completion phase (2021 -2023): Timely draw experiences, organize conferences, scientific seminars, make scientific records, report to competent authorities to recognize NO.1 ONLINE SCHOOLS VIETNAM, complete a set of testing and evaluation tools and a bunch of criteria and standards to organize the granting of diplomas and certificates on the Edutech portal.  THE URGENCY AND THE CIRCUMSTANCES OF THE PROJECT’S BIRTH

  1. 4.0 Industrial Revolution – opportunities and challenges for education and training in Vietnam in a new situation

The world is entering the fourth industrial revolution, a new manufacturing revolution associated with unprecedented breakthroughs in technology related to Internet connectivity, cloud computing, 3D printing, sensor technology, virtual reality, etc. This new manufacturing revolution is expected to have a substantial impact on all countries, governments, businesses, and people worldwide, as well as a radical change in the way we live, work and produce.

4.0 Industrial Revolution will first substantially impact production activities, creating a significant change in production methods; the convergence between physical and digital applications makes the Internet’s appearance. Internet of Things (IoT) will change rapidly, extending the entire value chain from research and development to production, logistics to customer service, significantly reducing transaction costs, shipping, and the wonders of production and productivity. In this process, the IoT will transform all industries, from manufacturing to infrastructure to healthcare. With the change of production methods, when modern technologies can connect the real and virtual world to produce, people can control the production process at home and still cover everything—plant performance through Internet dominance.

In the context that Vietnam is profoundly integrating into the world economy with the completion of many large-scale free trade agreements such as TPP, FTA with the EU, Eurasian Economic Union … Achievements of the new production revolution will create a useful tool to help Vietnam effectively participate in the global value chain and accelerate the process of industrialization and modernization of the country. Breakthrough technology innovations can lead to miracles in production and productivity.

However, this 4.0 Industrial Revolution is also posing many new challenges for developing countries like Vietnam. That is the challenge of falling further behind, low-cost labor gradually losing its advantages, the widening technology and knowledge gap leading to a more profound social division government, businesses, research centers, and educational institutions in Vietnam need to be aware of and ready to change and have appropriate strategies for the public – agricultural development, services, and economics or human resources in the Internet era and the 4.0 Industrial Revolution.

  1. The formation of the ASEAN Economic Community- Impacts and effects on the market economy in general and Vietnam’s education and training in particular

All the participated countries approved the ASEAN Vision 2020 in December 1997. ASEAN Leaders oriented ASEAN to form a Community, which will create a stable, prosperous, and competitive ASEAN Economic Area. In which goods, services, and investment are circulated more freely, capital is circulated more freely; the economy develops evenly, poverty and socio-economic differentiation are reduced. Accordingly, ASEAN agreed to aim to form an integrated and resilient ASEAN community by 2020 with three main pillars of political-security cooperation (ASEAN Security Community – ASC), economic cooperation. (ASEAN Economic Community – AEC) and socio-cultural cooperation (ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community – ASCC). The decision to formulate the AEC by 2020 in the Declaration of ASEAN Harmony (Declaration Bali II) clearly states: to create a stable, prosperous and highly competitive ASEAN economic region where there is free movement of goods capitalization, services and investment, more free movement of capital flows, inclusive economic development and poverty reduction, narrowing the socio-economic gap. To accelerate efforts to realize the goal of forming an ASEAN Community, the 12th ASEAN Summit in Cebu, Philippines, in January 2007 decided to shorten the deadline for creating a Community which includes AEC from 2020 to 2015.

To better understand ASEAN’s efforts to integrate financial services, it is crucial to understand its development in recent years and its ongoing efforts and challenges in the region in 2016.

  1. Globalization – the opportunity of globalization for the Vietnamese economy in general and Vietnam’s education and training in particular

The current globalization has a powerful impact on national nations, the entire human community’s social life, and each person’s life. Globalization is an inevitable and expanding trend that each country has to face.

The inevitability of globalization is firstly manifested in economic certainty. Economy, as everyone knows, is a decisive factor for the development of human civilization. The term human civilization has both material and spiritual meanings. The dominance of society is expressed in the blend and combination of material and spiritual factors. In that sense, the history of humankind is the history of progressive liberation from material deprivation, and at the same time, the history of the development of spiritual freedom.

In economics, globalization creates a fundamental change in human economic activities, changing the market’s nature and position. In the past, the market was national; now, the market is international. Due to globalization, countries are quickly attracted and become dependent on the world or global economy.

Socially, the global economy’s needs have brought about enormous changes in people’s working habits and lifestyles in all ethnic countries. The rich and poor divide, social evils and international crime, etc. These are problems that are causing national headaches. Today, no nation can ignore the rapid and widespread spread of diseases, such as SARS, avian flu, terrorism, international crime, etc.

Politically, people often talk about the severe challenges of globalization to national sovereignty. That is explained by the impact of economics on politics. Economic integration the increase will lead to political integration. With that logic, people talk about the weakening of the national model. In the current globalization context, people often talk about nations’ interdependence rather than their complete independence. However, what needs to be concerned and emphasized is the impact of economic and political changes on culture in the context of globalization. The Secretary-General of the United Nations affirmed: “Globalization is bringing us closer together in the sense that we are all influenced by each other’s actions, not at all. We all use their advantages and share the burden. On the contrary, we have allowed globalization to separate us from each other due to a growing gulf in wealth and power between different countries and within each country.

One of the significant challenges facing Vietnam is perhaps the economic one. Because it comes to globalization, as mentioned above, first of all, economic globalization. Economic globalization is the basis of globalization in general.

In the coming years, the integration process will require a more qualified workforce. If the Vietnamese labor force is not trained and prepared in terms of technology and management, unemployment will not decrease and increase the risk.

Clearly, there is no doubt that when the 4.0 INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION was born, the formation of the ASEAN economic community and the issue of globalization posed for Vietnam’s education facing many opportunities and challenges. It is necessary to have a breakthrough, to be ahead of ourselves, to be fully equipped as we enter the new era, the era of digital technology and the Internet.

From the above analytical theory, the author builds the Edutech educational technology project based on the 4.0 INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION modeled on bringing technology into edutech education to meet the period’s economic requirements integration and globalization.

III. Bases for building edutech education technology project

  1. Based on Vietnam’s education development strategy for the period 2020 – 2030 and vision to 2045.

 On January 14, 2019, the Minister of Education and Training (Education and Training) Phung Xuan Nha chaired the meeting with the Selection Council for the research topic to develop the Vietnam Education and Training Development Strategy Framework in the period 2021 – 2030 and orientations to 2045. At the meeting, Minister Phung Xuan Nha emphasized the importance of the research topic to build a strategic framework for the development of education and training in Vietnam for the period 2021 – 2030.
